Victory! Pernicious Ga. Anti-LGBTQI Bill to be vetoed

According to the Political Insider blog, Georgia governor Nathan Deal (R) announced that he will veto the pernicious anti-LGBTQI bill passed by the legislature. He has been flooded with pleas to do so and  threats of business leaders to leave the state if the bigoted measure became law. That a Republican governor in a conservative state could be moved to take such an action is a tremendous victory for the LGBTQI movement, as is the fact that the law wil not take effect.
Supporters of the bill said that they would bring it up next year, which means that they will likely not try to override the veto. The travesty of a bill will have to be fought all over again, however.
